Right of Passage
THE NEW CONSERVATORY THEATRE CENTER
Rights of Passage is scheduled to premiere at The New Conservatory Theatre Center in San Francisco in September of 2010. The play is being developed with guidance from the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission www.iglhrc.org along with a host of amazing individuals and others directly involved in human rights advocacy.
We have launched a new Blog site rightsofpassage-nctc.blogspot.com so that you may follow as well as contribute to our journey of making the play. We invite you to share your own Rights of Passage stories, connect us to others or simply post comments on our progress. The Blog will also keep you apprised of our donor opportunities, photo gallery, LGBT human rights news, links and special events.
In our research so far we have uncovered little-known stories that are sobering, horrifying and inspiring. With your help we will weave them into a compelling and relevant piece of theatre that crosses all kinds of boundaries—geographic, religious, political and gender—and gives a human face to contemporary LGBT issues around the globe.

Laughter is paramount. If your not laughing then- well just stop it.
Here-I share my most favorite podcast in the world. If we have room on the agenda and the boys don’t mind I think they should be here somewhere:
You Look Nice Today
Do yourself a favor and listen- and nope this doesn’t mean they like queers, are queer, have an agenda… just means I like them. A lot.
So, unlike the Pope, apparently McDonald’s supports us queer folks. I find it ironic that I found out about it via a call to action from the Family Research Council- I had no idea. I don’t shop McDonald’s much being a poor dyke of limited means and in fact being poor keeps me fairly busy. At the end of the day I have almost no time to attack families or chip away at anyone’s marriage, let alone all of the other pesky things I’m supposed to be doing.
If the action alert gets any action- there will be solemn faced upstanding citizens demanding that McDonald’s keep the side of gays, just cough up the fries please.
Action Alert
Apparently, serving McFlurries and Big Macs to the public is no longer
enough to satisfy the hunger of McDonald’s to make a cultural impact on the United States. Sadly, McDonald’s is now financing attacks on marriage and the family as a new Corporate Partner of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
The NGLCC promotes businesses owned by homosexuals, but it also pushes the homosexual political agenda in statehouses, courthouses, and the halls of Congress. Thought crime (“hate crime”) laws, homosexual and transgender “civil rights” preferences, and domestic partner benefits are top-priority issues of the NGLCC. ….(read more…)
